Ashyah Galbokke Hewage (she/her) is from Santa Monica, California studying Neuroscience and History of Science, Medicine, and Public Health on the pre-med track. On campus, she is involved with the Asian American Cultural Center, plays violin in the Davenport Pops Orchestra, works as a FGLI Thrive Ambassador, and does research in a social neuroscience lab. Outside of class, you can find her speedwalking across campus with her digital camera in hand, taking photos of friends and Yale’s beautiful scenery, especially the TD ginkgo tree. She also loves exploring local cafes, trying new Thai restaurants, and ice cream spots around New Haven. She is beyond excited to meet the Class of 2030 and welcome you to the TD family.
