The Downey Room is TD’s space for small events and gatherings. Located above the dining hall, the Downey Room has a 16-person capacity and allows students to host small dinners, club meetings, acapella auditions, and more. All students are welcome to reserve the Downey Room.
Reservation Instructions
- The Downey Room is available for use only with a confirmed reservation.
- The Downey Room must be reserved a minimum of 24 hours in advance
- Reservation requests must be made to Timothy Dwight dining hall manager, Kristin Elliott via email
- Group size may not exceed room capacity of 16 people as determined by Yale Fire Marshal
- The Downey Room is only available during regularly scheduled meal/dining service hours
- All guests in attendance must pay for their meal upon entering dining hall
- If guests move furniture from established configuration, the room must be returned to original configuration before guests leave
- Only Yale Hospitality produced food is permitted in dining hall/Downey Room
- Egress must be made through main dining hall entrance by desk attendant
