Deewa is a senior in TD studying Political Science and receiving a certificate in Persian and Iranian Studies. She was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. She loves going to the movies and going on walks wherever there’s lots of nature. This summer she was in Tajikistan where she was studying Persian with the Critical Language Scholarship and she hopes to continue her language study in the upcoming year. Outside of classes she works as a program assistant for the Gruber Program for Global Justice and Women’s Rights at YLS. She’s also excited to be helping lead the Afghan Students Association this year. Deewa can’t wait to share TD with you all and is happy to answer any questions you might have!
