Dhakiya proudly hails from Covington, Georgia, where she first developed her passion for neuroscience. Her early exposure to biotechnology and psychology research inspired her to major in neuroscience and pursue a medical degree after graduation.
Her main passions on campus are research, writing, and serving the TD community. As such, you will often find her studying the cerebellum and calcium channel mutations in the Snell Lab or performing her spoken-word poetry with WORD. In between, she has enjoyed planning community events such as TD formal and TD day as SAC co-president.
In her leftover free time, Dhakiya loves long FaceTime calls with friends and family, game nights, walks around campus, and group study sessions that are not as productive as they should be. She is excited to welcome the newest Red Lions to the TD community!
