Thien Dao (he/him) grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina, and is a double major in Political Science and History.
At Yale, he has been involved with the Yale Democracy Project, Yale UNICEF, and Yale Model Congress. Beyond Yale, he has spent his summers working as a congressional intern for New Haven’s congresswoman and at the law firm Fried Frank in its Financial Regulation and Derivatives Practice Group. His academic interests center on topics related to law and politics, and he is always happy to chat with fellow TDers about those interests or just about anything else!
In his free time, you can usually find Thien trying out new restaurants along Whitney Ave or hanging out with friends in the TD Buttery. For Thien, TD has been one of the most rewarding parts of his Yale experience, and he cannot wait to help the Class of 2030 find the same sense of home that TD has given him.
